Ted Collins

Ted Collins joined Bergman Construction in 2025 as a Senior Project Manager and Area Growth Lead, bringing with him a wealth of experience in construction management across a broad spectrum of project types and leadership roles. He holds a B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Cincinnati and has held key positions, including Director of Operations and Director of Development, on a national scale. Ted’s background spans diverse sectors, including K-12 education, senior living, high-rise residential, financial institutions, restaurants, convenience stores, and military facilities; however, his greatest strengths lie in leading complex ground-up construction projects.

As Senior Project Manager and Regional Lead for Bergman Construction’s Northeast territory, Ted provides operational leadership and regional oversight, ensuring that teams across the region operate efficiently and deliver high-quality outcomes. He is responsible for key areas, including safety, quality control, scheduling, budgeting, document and change management, and business development. Ted is recognized for his empowering leadership style, which creates a supportive environment that encourages growth and fosters the professional development of every team member.

With a passion for team building and mentorship, Ted draws on training from world-class organizations to guide and elevate those around him. Over the years, he has become a go-to resource for project management training and best practices, earning recognition for both individual and team achievements. He holds licenses or QA credentials in 13 states and has contributed to major client successes, most notably, overseeing a McDonald’s program that delivered approximately $100 million in annual construction. The region he supported received an award in 2018 for exceptional project delivery.

Outside of work, Ted is a proud father who enjoys supporting his son and daughter in their high school sports. He’s also an advocate for physical fitness and weightlifting, believing that a healthy body has a positive influence on every other aspect of life. His discipline and focus on well-being reflect the same values he brings to his leadership role at Bergman Construction.
