Ed Young’s construction career began at age 10 when he worked alongside his father in Northern California, learning foundational skills in concrete, structural framing, and finish carpentry. His hands-on education continued through high school and college, where he refined his expertise in quality craftsmanship. Ed launched his business in 1988, specializing in design-build construction management across commercial, retail, education, religious, and healthcare sectors. His 35+ years of experience also include roles with leading firms, including large-scale industrial projects.
As Senior Project Manager, Ed supports Bergman’s East Coast Division, focusing on North and South Carolina, particularly the Raleigh-Durham area and the Triad Triangle. He collaborates with clients to ensure their objectives are met efficiently, cost-effectively, and with exceptional quality, prioritizing client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Ed thrives in conceptual planning and problem-solving, enjoying the process of transforming early ideas into finished projects. His expertise in design-build management and his passion for collaboration ensure projects exceed expectations, from the initial concept to final construction.
When not working, Ed spends time with his wife, Gail, their four married children, and thirteen grandchildren. He enjoys outdoor activities like biking, boating, and relaxing at the beach or in the mountains, valuing the time spent blending family and nature.
