Matthew Clinton

Matthew Clinton’s construction career began at 16 when he worked as a laborer for a concrete company in Clearwater, Nebraska. After high school, he continued to develop his skills at Stevens and Smith Construction, where he worked as a foreman until 1993. Matt later transitioned to superintendent roles, managing projects across the U.S., including retail, industrial, and multifamily buildings. In 2006, he started his own general contracting business before returning to work with other general contractors as a Senior Superintendent and Project Manager. He joined Bergman as Regional Director for the Central United States.

Matt oversees construction operations across 11 states in the central U.S., ensuring smooth project management and team coordination. His extensive background in different project types equips him to lead these large-scale developments. Additionally, Matt heads Bergman’s nationwide industrial projects for major retail and development companies, driving efficiency and success in complex builds.

With decades of hands-on experience and expertise in a wide array of construction projects, Matt brings a comprehensive understanding of the field. His leadership style is based on mentoring and working alongside his teams, which fosters loyalty and trust. Matt’s in-depth knowledge of both the field and office operations ensures he can tackle any challenge, guiding projects to successful completion.

Matt is a proud father of six and grandfather to three. Outside work, he cherishes spending time with his grandkids and enjoys date nights with his wife. An avid cook, he is passionate about trying new recipes and exploring culinary hobbies. Matt also spends his weekends working on his hobby farm, embracing his love of hands-on projects and family time.
